Blush Bridal Spotlight: Abby Weaver

Can you believe it is already May?

The beginning of this year has flown by, but that means that wedding season is upon us, and we could not be more excited! We love meeting our brides and getting to experience their journey with them as they prepare for their wedding day! Today, we are featuring one of our brides, Abby! We know you will enjoy reading about her and her husband's story as much as we did!

Can you tell us a little bit about your love story?

My husband, Heath, and I met on match.com. We started talking back in the summer of 2014 but things fizzled out. It wasn’t until later that fall when I had once again messaged Heath that things really picked up and we decided to meet in person. We went on a date in West Reading and things turned out great, which led to another date a couple days later. We officially started dating that December and then got engaged November 2017, along with our beloved Saint Bernard, Marshall!

As a bride, you have many options when it comes to where you will look for your wedding dress. What brought you to Blush Bridal and what was the experience of finding your dress like?

I went to a bunch of different places to look for a wedding dress, however, I never found THE one. They were either too expensive, too much bling, not the right silhouette, the list goes on. One of my bridesmaids recommended Blush Bridal and it was one of those “yeah I will give it a shot, but if I don’t find anything, I will just settle on a dress”. Once I got to Blush Bridal, every one who worked with us was absolutely amazing and super helpful. We found my perfect dress and I ended up with the gown of my dreams!

Where was your wedding and how did you decide on that venue?

Our wedding and reception was at Folino Estate. My mom actually found this place way before I was even engaged and told me she knew where I was going to get married. Well, once I got engaged she told me about this place so Heath and I went to check it out and we fell in love with Folino instantly!

Can you tell us a little bit about your inspiration for your wedding colors, flowers, and any other fun details?

Our colors were navy and burgundy and some hints of gold. I absolutely love these colors together and they looked great at that time of the year! If I have to tell the truth about the flowers, that was all my florist! I told him my colors and he went to town! I don’t know anything about flowers so I left it up to him and he did an amazing job! A cute detail that everyone seemed to love was that we chose our grandmothers as the flower girls! It was something super sweet and every one got a kick out of it. It was a great way to involve them as well!

What was your favorite part about your wedding day?

Honestly, the best part about my wedding day was seeing everything come together. We worked on our wedding for almost a year so it was amazing to see everything all in one place and how we envisioned it. It was the best day of my life!

What advice or words of wisdom would you give to other brides as they prepare for their wedding day?

The best advice that I can give to other brides is first do what makes YOU happy! Yes, listen to advice, but in the end, do what you want to do! Next, delegate as much as you can to your bridesmaids and anyone else involved! It will make your wedding day much more relaxing. Last, but not least, enjoy your day! Sit back and take it all in, the day goes by very quickly!
