Blush Bridal Spotlight: Lea Gott

Hello Again, Blushing Brides!

In this installment of "Blush Bridal Spotlight," we talk with one of our very own "Brides of Blush," Lea Gott! Lea's story is inpsiration for the bride who has a short timeline and needs to find her dream gown in a moment's notice! Below, Lea shares her beautiful wedding day and story of when she met her groom. We adore the simple yet elegant wedding venue and the obvious joy beaming from this sweet couple's faces!

1. As a bride, you have several choices in the area to find your wedding gown. What brought you to Blush Bridal?

Honestly, I went to Blush Bridal by chance because it was conveniently located. But I am so happy I did because my consultant was incredibly helpful and I did not feel rushed at all which made it an easy process – unlike how they portray it on TV. There are soo many beautiful dresses to pick from and very affordable!

2. In a few words, can you tell us how you and your husband met?

We met through social media. Our first date was at Five Guys which isn’t your typical date night but it matches our personalities because we are both laid back people. Now, whenever we go, it feels a little extra special since that is where it all began!

3. How did you know which dress was the one for you?

When I put the dress on I instantly knew. It was the very first dress I tried on and in my gut I had a hunch it was the one but the practical side of me needed to try on others just to make sure. It sounds silly but I literally just knew that it was going to be mine! I kept going back to it and I soon realized I felt the most beautiful and the most like myself in it.

4.What was your favorite part of the wedding?

My favorite moment was walking down the aisle, seeing our friends and family, and then finally seeing my then fiancé standing at the end. A close second would be the dancing and having fun with all of our guests. Being surrounded by loving people is one of the best feelings!

5.Where was your wedding held?

The Inn at Leola Village. Due to the military lifestyle, our engagement was only two months! The Inn has a wedding planner and nearly all the vendors you need on site which made planning so much easier. It sounds too good to be true but all their vendors are absolutely incredible! I am forever grateful for them.

6. What advice would you give brides as they are preparing for their wedding?

It is easier said than done but don’t stress so much. All the little details that you think will be important really won’t matter when you are having fun. Everything always works itself out. Also, do not compare yourself to others. Your wedding will be perfect just for you and your husband and that’s all that matters. Lastly, take advantage of this fun time in your life and enjoy the planning process!

7. What words of wisdom would you pass onto brides for their wedding day?

Soak in the happiness and love and forget the rest. It is your special day with your new husband and there is no better feeling!
