In this Blush Bridal Spotlight, we talk with Sarah and learn about her bridal story, how she met her groom, Chadd, and how she KNEW he was the one for her!
1. As a bride, you have several choices in the area to find your wedding gown. What brought you to Blush Bridal?
The attention to detail really brought me into Blush Bridal. In addition, the overall caring and personal atmosphere made it a truly extraordinary experience.
2. In a few words, can you tell us how you and your husband met?
My husband Chadd and I met at Campbell University (located in Buies Creek, NC) through mutual friends. The moment that he agreed to go watch a golf tournament with me, I knew he was the one! We took a day trip to Pinehurst so that I could watch a good friend compete in her conference championship. It was quite the first date!
3. How did you know which dress was the one for you?
In a simple way, I felt and just knew it was the one. From the moment I put it on, it fit my body perfectly and needed little alterations. Also, the lining was jersey material, and as a former college athlete, that was a big plus!
4.What was your favorite part of the wedding?
My favorite part of the wedding was, without a doubt, being around all of our family and friends. For everyone to experience such a wonderful day and life changing event, it truly made the day memorable. In addition, the wedding party and our friends went to Shady Maple, post lunch reception, for dinner. That was a great time!
5.Where was your wedding held?
Our wedding was held at the General Sutter in Lititz, PA. Special shout out to Jeff Merk for being the fearless leader from General Sutter to help make our day outstanding! The entire staff at the Inn was remarkable and added a ton of "one ups" to create an above and beyond day.
6. What advice would you give brides as they are preparing for their wedding?
I believe one of the most important aspects while preparing for a wedding is to keep in mind what you and your husband want from the wedding day. It may seem like a simplistic idea, but once the planning process gets going, a ton of ideas will be thrown your way. Make a list before the process gets underway to stay grounded in your thoughts and ideas.
7. What words of wisdom would you pass onto brides for their wedding day?
As cliche as this will sound, enjoy every moment of it. Just admit to yourself ahead of time that there will be moments of tears, nervousness, and anxiety- it happens! Relax and take in every second- it is seriously a wonderful day!
